New partner capabilities will enable AI, analytics, player health and safety, broadcast, advertising and fan-experience technologies to integrate directly into synchronized live volumetric productions

Alexandra, VA - Skyrim.AI  today announced an expansion of Stadium OS Partner Edition that will provide technology partners with new developer integration points throughout its real-time volumetric video pipeline. The new capabilities are designed to allow sports technology companies, broadcasters, leagues, teams, player health and safety organizations, analytics providers and fan-experience developers to integrate their technologies directly into live volumetric productions without having to build the underlying capture, synchronization, reconstruction and streaming infrastructure themselves.

Stadium OS is Skyrim.AI’s end-to-end platform for real-time volumetric capture, processing, reconstruction, compression, streaming and playback. The platform is designed to scale from the capture of an individual athlete or performance, such as gymnastics, to large-field sports including basketball and soccer.

With the expanded Partner Edition, Skyrim.AI will expose defined integration points across that pipeline, giving partners access to the form of synchronized data that best fits their application.

Partners will be able to work with synchronized 2D camera frames, pre-reconstruction information such as depth, lighting and material data, reconstructed 3D frames produced through Skyrim.AI Echo, and the final real-time 3D environment used for presentation and fan experiences.

The common foundation across those integration points is synchronization.

“With sports, real time is everything. It is not enough to generate the right information if it arrives after the moment has passed,” said John Harrington, Head of Sports Strategy and Partnerships. “Stadium OS is designed so that a partner’s model, application or experience can remain synchronized with the live event from the original camera frame through reconstruction and ultimately to what the fan sees. Our goal is to let our partners focus on the intelligence and experiences they do best while Stadium OS takes care of the real-time volumetric infrastructure underneath them.”

Bringing Partner AI Into the Live Production

As part of the initiative, Stadium OS Partner Edition will support integration of NVIDIA NIM-based inference services, allowing AI processing to be deployed alongside the live volumetric workflow. Partner services can be deployed on-site within Skyrim.AI AI production environments, across hybrid architectures combining venue and cloud infrastructure, or in fully cloud-based deployments. This architecture creates new opportunities for specialized AI companies to participate directly in live sports production.

For example, a player health and safety or biomechanics provider could receive synchronized imagery from Stadium OS, perform 3D pose estimation or other athlete analysis, and return information about body position, joints, rotation, movement or other measurements while maintaining its relationship to the corresponding volumetric frame.

Similar integrations can support player tracking, sports analytics, computer vision, broadcast graphics, officiating technologies, virtual camera systems and other emerging applications.

Rather than requiring these companies to independently solve synchronized multicamera acquisition, real-time GPU processing, volumetric reconstruction and delivery, Stadium OS provides the production infrastructure on which those applications can operate.

Standards-Based From Capture Through Playback

Skyrim.AI is also extending Stadium OS around an industry-standards-based architecture.

The Stadium OS roadmap includes adoption of the full SMPTE ST 2110 family of standards, including SMPTE ST 2059 timing and synchronization, supporting Skyrim.AI’s broader strategy of implementing the same professional media standards used throughout modern broadcast production.

Skyrim.AI also supports the Volumetric Format Association’s Volumetric Player Format Specification as part of its approach to interoperable volumetric playback and distribution.

The company plans to contribute technologies developed through its own work back to the VFA ecosystem where appropriate, including potential technology contributions, reference implementations and industry best practices.

For Skyrim.AI, standards are intended to do more than provide compatibility between products. They provide a common foundation that allows an ecosystem of technology companies to participate in volumetric production without being locked into a vertically closed platform.

Opening the Real-Time 3D Environment to Agents

Stadium OS Partner Edition is also extending partner access beyond analysis of the live event and into the real-time 3D experience itself.  Skyrim.AI will expose its runtime agent framework for Unity-based Stadium OS experiences to partners and is developing a Stadium OS runtime implementation of Model Context Protocol, or MCP. The runtime capability is being developed by Skyrim.AI specifically for live Stadium OS environments and is distinct from MCP capabilities designed primarily around development and editor workflows.

The goal is to allow authorized applications and AI agents to query what is happening inside a live 3D environment and interact with defined elements of that environment through controlled interfaces.

Over time, this architecture can enable fan experiences that adapt dynamically to the viewer.

A broadcaster could create different presentations for different audiences. Teams could tailor environments for their own fans. Sponsors could introduce contextual activations around specific moments. Applications could surface information based on the players or action a viewer is watching. AI agents could eventually help assemble and modify those experiences without requiring production teams to manually author every possible variation beforehand.

Unity will be the first real-time 3D engine supported through this runtime agent architecture, with additional 3D engine integrations planned.

Building an Ecosystem Around the Live Volumetric Event

The expanded Stadium OS Partner Edition is designed around a simple principle: a company should not need to become a volumetric video infrastructure company in order to build technology for volumetric sports. Partners can concentrate on their own models, analytics, applications and experiences while Stadium OS provides the synchronized real-time event underneath them.

You build the intelligence or the experience. Stadium OS gives you the synchronized real-time volumetric event to build it on.

The new Stadium OS Partner Edition developer capabilities are planned to begin rolling out this fall, with additional integration points and supported real-time 3D engines being added as the platform develops.
